The fourth great social revolution

       I'm Irish and Colombian and often joke that I'm built for chemical warfare.  The truth is though, I'm not sure I'm built to last very long. My family is full of fun and laughter and it is also full of disease.  Thus, I've committed much of my career and life attempting to transform healthcare.  It is for my family, out of love and dread, that I forge on.

     The more I explore the more I have broadened my scope to focus on a wider array of maladies than the cancer and mental disorders afflicting my family.  By continuing a discovery or development of services and products - relative to genetics - I am convinced that precision medicine lie within DNA-derived advancements. I believe that we are entering the fourth, and what may be heralded as the most profound, social revolution of the human race.  A molecular revolution where we can write and reprogram biology and even store data within DNA to address a constellation of conditions to better our lives.  I'm filled with wonder of what we will achieve by our knowledge, manipulation, and creation of DNA based technologies.

     After all, it is the knowledge of the gene - the basic building block of all life - that leads to knowing what we're made of and to knowing our path toward greater health.
